Davidoff made a Culebra? And you found one???Wow I've only found these from Davidoff. Who else makes em? I would like a couple for the Humi. Just for the conversation value.
I thought the new ones were only like $50/box?Too expensive but a great novelty item.
I agree. I've been wanting to get at least one for the humi to show off. I think I'm gonna do either the Illusione or La Flor Dom. Definately not going to drop the coin for the Party. :noemotionToo expensive but a great novelty item.
it's my understanding that years ago, the workers in the cigar factories were given a daily allottment of cigars to bring home, but eventually they started bringing the best of the production output so the management decided that they would have to twist 3 fresh cigars together and tie a ribon around them and those would be the cigars designated for the workers to take home....Anybody know the when/where/why culebras were invented? Picked the interesting tidbit up out of Mike's MRN on the way out to Omaha and am curious as to how many people actually know.

More like $120-$150 per 9ct. box. So if they came in a 25ct. box then they'd be $325+ per box.I thought the new ones were only like $50/box?
Maybe that's too much for a novelty cigar, tho.

Actually, that's what I thought until I read the MRN. He points out that the rollers could have made and smoked as many culebras as they wanted. Shape wouldn't have been a problem because they were cigar rollers.it's my understanding that years ago, the workers in the cigar factories were given a daily allottment of cigars to bring home, but eventually they started bringing the best of the production output so the management decided that they would have to twist 3 fresh cigars together and tie a ribon around them and those would be the cigars designated for the workers to take home.
53$ usd incd shipping for the box of 9. Haven't seen a 25 ct box yet.

I just read about these. I only wish we could get some.
I have read the same thing on several different websites. The twisted effect of the individual cigars was a way to identify the daily quota for the workers. It was found that they were replaceing thier quota ( segundos ) with premiums and putting the segundos in the premium box. This is the only one I can find locally it is a davidoff:smokingcoit's my understanding that years ago, the workers in the cigar factories were given a daily allottment of cigars to bring home, but eventually they started bringing the best of the production output so the management decided that they would have to twist 3 fresh cigars together and tie a ribon around them and those would be the cigars designated for the workers to take home.
