Howdy All:
I hope you are doing great today.
Not to big into doing reviews but I had an enjoyable smoke and took some pictures tonight.
I looked in my tray in my coolerdor tonight and found I had two Partagas Serie P No. 2 cigars so thought I should have one.
I had to figure first what to have with it. I knew or thought it was going to be a fine smoke so I found it fitting to share it with a Pappy Van Winkle 20 year old bourbon, if you get the chance to try this I wholeheartedly support this. I prefer the 20 over the 23 which is more then twice the cost-
Here it is ready to be cut with my trusty Palio, a great cutter, and lit with my brand new Xikar table lighter that I finally figure out how to fill. Very nice lighter.
a good looking cigar-
It lit beautifully and even and had a soft mild taste to it as I find a lot of CC.
The draw was smooth all the way through, and as for taste, I am still working on my palette but would say light grass and a hint of a summer day or it could be because it was a beautiful evening. Another comment and a picture of the bourbon, all of the Pappy I have had has been great and you can see by the color a hint of caramel and a hint of vanilla in the taste.
The second third gave a more complex flavoring that brought memories of a fresh cut hay and a build up in the strength of the taste.
The last third changed a bit of the flavor in a pleasurable way and continued a bit stronger then the first third. This was a smoke I wished could go on for a while longer but the hour plus was very enjoyable.
If you get the chance I would say give it a shot. I am a big fan of the V898 but this was very good and I found it to have an easier draw and will be getting some more of these.
Best regards, tony
