New guy here,

Alot of "newbies" get involved in PIF's when they first start trading. They may not be experienced enough with Habanos to know if the cigars they are receiving in trades are fakes and send them out again in PIF's not realizing. I have a whole hummi dedicated to habanos I receive in trades from newbs and unless I have some authentic sticks to compare them to I just smoke them myself and don't send them back out in trades. It is surprising how many fakes i get from very generouse BOTL's who have no idea. Unless there doing all the time with the same cigars I don't tell them.

Sorry didnt think about the need to be registered. see what I can do

These cigars taste like ASS. Talk to a few others who got them, and bitter, digusting, and sour were the tasting notes. So its not just me.

Little more info for the curious:
They werent passed to me but a good friend who lives by me, and is on the same site. I get a pm suspecting fakes, Look at them briefly (DID NOT SMOKE) and concluded fake as the size is not even close, and taste descriptions of those that had it. I think one may be real out of the 5 or 6.

looks like this was an honest mistake from what i see on the other board...he got them from someone else and didnt know they were bogus...sound about right mr. c ?

that is about it Ash.....however he hasn't said anything since his original post about his possible fakes. Now, for some reason I can't get on right now....maybe the site is down, don't know. But when I went to bed last night he hadn't said anything else about it. I honestly don't know what to think.

coppertop, he was on all last night, and replied at length about it in the Fakes topic. he PMed me a few times as well.

when i first heard about it, i PMed him and asked where he's buying his stash from. i thought for sure that this was just an accident and he doesn't know any better. the guy has photos of his family, his smoking room, his humidor, posted in the gallery.
anyway, i was hoping he'd fill me in on where he was getting the fakes, that way i never buy from there... and then i could pass on a vendor that sells real ones...
he mentioned that he didn't want to give out the source as of now, until "something".... sorry, the site is down and i can't recall exactly what he said.

i'm not in the all "isom" pif that's going on, but i know most of them that are in on it, with Mr. C and Coppertop being two of them.

OH ok.....like I said when I went to bed he wasn't on....but your up a lot later then me. I went to bed about 9 last night because I wasn't feeling so hot, plus a bad headache. Well when I get on I will read what was said. I don't think what he did was intentional at all.

If the person in question is maliciously selling fakes, do you really think he is going to admit it. No, his is going to say it is an honest mistake. His identity needs to be made public irregardless of his statements.
