I got the hang of it after falling like 30x. Much harder than snowboarding or even real wave surfing since you have no fins to aid in control and you don't have a mountain to provide feedback. Sore head to toe on top of jetlag, but nothing some Col. EH Taylor can't fix right now!

Yeah it is different for sure. I did a ton of it while on my honeymoon, we were on one of the Royal Caribbean liners that had one in the back. Ended up being asked to be in the final contest due to pulling off the trick of jumping from the back of the wave onto a free floating board and riding it down.
