This isn't really my style, but if anyone else out there has been through anything like this, I'd love to hear some stories (good or bad). I am pretty overwhelmed.

So a few weeks ago my wife and I got the confirmation that we are, in fact, expecting our second child. In the process of the prenatal visit, the doctor discovered some oddly shaped lumps in one of her breasts. Since then, we have been to some specialists and samples have been taken for biopsy. There is a strong (99%) chance that she is not only pregnant, but also has cancer. We'll know more on Monday when the biopsy results come back, but I guess 1-in-3000 pregnant women get this. 2012 is going to be rougher than I anticipated.

Wow, that is incredibly hard. I'll keep you all in my prayers -- and thanks for your response to my thread as well. Can't imagine having to deal with both those things at once, but hopefully the doctors can offer you good options.

I'm so sorry to hear this, bro. My wife and I found out two weeks ago that we are expecting our first child. The doctor also found some lumps in her breast, but the tests showed they were just oddly shaped fat cells. I'm hoping it's the same with your wife as well. I'll tell you what I told myself when I was waiting for the same test - Hope for the best, but brace for the worst.

Yeah I can imagine its gonna be tough. I think that maybe you guys are gonna have to decided if you are going to keep the baby, if she has to go through chimiotherapy and can't see this as a good treatment for the baby. Really sorry to hear

Thoughts are with you, your wife and expected baby. Try to keep a positive attitude for your wife though, anything can happen. My mom has had cancer and since being cancer-free, has had a couple scares where they found lumps and they turned out to be nothing. So until you know one way or the other, stay positive.
