So night before last my 3 yo was on u tube I took the phone from him and he threw a fit I finally got him to calm down amd trust dad. I showed him a video of a 3d helo and he though that it was the coolest thing ever. I got my plane out this morning the wing sets still snapped in half. Ots a firebird commander 2. I also have a kyosho ultima gp stadium truck that likes to strip the main gear. but my favorite toy is my tunnel hull boat w a kb engine that thing is fun to run! My father on law just got a drone so im goimg to get em all running again after I move and make some videos.my next rc will be a larger boat with a weed eater engine im saving

Sounds like the problem I had when I raced my Ofna LX One buggy. Always have issues finding parts. Common ones too none the less.
Had the same problems back in the day. Racing 1/8 buggy I ended up just buying a roller bag with parts boxes and always had 2 or more of every part with me .

Yup I started hoarding common parts that broke and got a tool bag with extra room for parts. Ofna parts were hard to come by around here a few years ago. I don't know if its changed or not now a days. I haven't taken my RC cars out in a few years...

Parts for mine are hard to find but I got on rc10talk.com and they've helped me find other stuff that will fit. U both should get back into ot and post some pics of your vintage racers!

Gave up on the kyosho got tired of trying to source parts.... I swapped some of my old race car parts that were taking up space in the garage for a buddy's traxxas nitro sport. Got a goodie bag on the mail last night then my son and I stayed up late last night stripping it down and 're building it.

Wow I have a lot in common with this community lol..yeah I was huge into racing. My main classes were 1/8 electric buggy, 1/10 electric buggy, and 1/8 nitro late model. I don't race anymore but still have all my stuff, and all my bashing rigs plus I flew helicopters, but helis became too expensive of a hobby. Every time you crash you break stuff and flying 3D is not easy, so lots of crashing lol. I'll have to get some pics of some of my stuff when I get a chance.

I'd like to get one of the traxxas short course trucks but I dont have the cash right now. Maybe next year. Traxxas and losi seem pretty good about stocking parts and almost every shop Carys traxxis
And the key is staying with stock traxxas parts, so when you break something you can go to the local hobby shop and get the replacement. Plus all the stupid aluminum and carbon parts just make you break other stuff instead of that piece.

Yep you pay out the butt then they make more expensive stuff break! The plastic flexes and asorbs the impact I did pick up a cool brush guard for a dif traxxas to give my front end more protection. I like how available and cheap trx parts are. hoping by new shell comes in today so we can get it painted. I also am stoked to have an easy start I always hated using the glow heater and pull start then having to put the body back on. Borrowing a heat scanner tomorrow hoping to have it going and get it tuned but... were having a b day party for my youngest so we will see.

Yeah, a lot of people don't get that. And yeah I use a glow plug heater and a starter box on my nitro stuff, but traxxas ez start is pretty good and much better than a pull start that's for sure! Good luck with the tune, hope she screams!

Nice man, looking good! A little trick for making wiring look neater, especially servo wires, is to wrap them around a pencil real tight. It gives the wires a coiled spring effect so you don't have tons of extra wire that you have to find a place to tuck away and hide.

Thats a great idea! The fronts still loose because I forgot which channel the servos are. I need some battery so I can get it right. I zip tied the rear end down I have to figure out the routing of all the wires forward of the engine. It was getting late and my 3 y o was distracting me. Heading to the hobby shop on a bit
