I have the same reaction with coffee. I love the combination but it doesn't love me back.

Coffee makes me very susceptible to motion sickness. I can take the roughest seas (been in the Navy) and the bumpiest flights (I'm a pilot) but if I have coffee I'll get the worst motion sickness ever.

I ran in to this recently. I realized a part of it was my puff style. I was taking the smoke in enough to retrohale before blowing any out of my mouth. I was taking the smoke in to my throat. Plus, I was retrohaling much more often. The combination hand me getting the swoons from straight medium body sticks.

Maybe, paying more attention to your puffing style would help out.
I think this actually might be it.

I think he has a good point. Retrohaling more allows so much more nicotine to get into your system. I find that some cigars I normally call medium can jump up to straight on full if I retro the whole way.

I have also changed my amount of coffee drinking a couple times and each time I do, I notice that it affects my sensitivity to Vitamin N in a big way.

I've also noticed that more water and less coffee usually helps out. It seems to wash the mess through my system or something. On days I drink 100 or more ounces of water I tend to handle cigars better than the days I barely squeeze in 60 or 70. I found that drinking coffee actually causes me to drink less water for some reason. I'm still not giving up that morning cup though.
