Yes @mitetak has it correct above. As far as number of cigars it was never specified so do what your heart tells you. I'll definitely renew this league for next year, I'm glad everyone enjoyed! Maybe for next year we can flesh out the reward structure a bit more so 1st place gets more than 3rd place, etc.

FWIW - the other leagues I play in or run use this setup. Entry fee is a "fiver" of good cigars for all teams. Winner gets 50%, second gets 33% and top point scorer gets 17%. In a 12 team that's 6 to winner, 4 to 2nd and 2 to top scorer, which could be 3rd place instead of just points. Everyone sends at the end of season. Just a thought.

To make it interesting, let's say the bottom 3 players have to send a cigar care package to the top 3 players. This way no one has to buy in at the beginning and we can just get to drafting. !

Yeah, sometimes that's also one of the top 2 but sometimes it's just a guy with a good team who ran into a buzz saw too many weeks.

I’m not sure I follow the math on this one. 12 teams x a 5’er each = 60 sticks. That would be 30 sticks to first, 20 for second and 10 for third.

Thanks, I meant to answer that but I got distracted by something else. And yes, fiver is a loose term everywhere ! But 5 cigars as an entry fee won't hurt anybody's stash.

I run a league for my most local shop and it's min 5 premium cigars, approx $50 value. I won it last year and got 2 fivers which was actually about 15 sticks and the other 4 just left $50 shop cards. That was really cool because I stretched it into alot more than 20 sticks.

And while I'm yakking - I have also been in leagues though where a guy goes MIA during the season and then you have a shortfall in prize payout, but other guys generally contribute extra to cover. The league is only as good as the group of guys involved and this was a great one. Well, except for @Tyler86 he harassed my ass all season
