Ok so I like to retrohale. But I find my sinuses cant handle the retrohale from some cigars. Feels like my sinuses are being ripped out with a dull butterknife.

So from the idiots point of view......DO NOT RETROHALE with a severe sinus infection and ur very congested. That is all.

Lol. That's funny.

If retrohaling hurts, try just retrohaling the last 10% or so of the smoke. Breath most of it out through your mouth, then just let the tail end through your nose. It'll be cooler and smoother, but still give you a lot of that extra flavor.

Yeah, what he said that's what I do unless you want sinus cancer. Lol.

I know a guy on Facebook that takes pictures all the time of him retrohaling like a beast. It makes my eyes water.

There are certain cigars I won't retrohale for sure. Some of them are pepper bombs and also some that are still young burn like an SOB. I think its the ammonia.

I think I'm immune to it. Only really spicy/peppery cigars get me these days. When smoking a pipe, I definitely exhale way more through my nose than my mouth. Just second nature really.

I think we've all learned this the hard way once or twice. I did that with about 90% of a draw from a Dirty Rat rott.... My eyes were watering for a good 10 minutes

When I first started smoking cigars I tried retrohaling a Tatuaje Fausto, and accidentally inhaled a huge mouthful of smoke.

Fairly certain I was legally dead for a few minutes...

I would recommend not smoking at all when you have any sort of respiratory illness. I can't see that it would be good for your recovery and would assume you're not getting much flavor from the cigar either.
