Ironically, I just finished one of these that I bought at a local B&M yesterday. The one I had was probably a 56 ring gauge. While I am a big fan of Alec Bradley cigars, ( love the Tempus) was not overly impressed with the SCR. That being said, I am a fan of full bodied smokes. While I found this cigar to be a pleasant smoke, I wasn't overly enthralled by it.
Probably would not buy again.

Yes I do this as well. Grab a cigar cut it and if the draw is tight let it rest in the humi. Most of the time these are OTT, I have no patience hahaha
I did that with one off my off brand Tompson sticks just to see how it will turn out. i punched it about 3 weeks ago just to se if it will loosen up and imprve the flavor.

Really great review!! I've been looking forward to trying this stick.

Can anyone comment on how the SCR compares to the Overture or Tempus?

Thanks for the detailed review. I've got a box of these coming in next week that I unexpectedly won on the bid site. It's the first time I've bought a box of cigars I've never tried, but your review set me at ease. I placed a $55 bid with 3 days to go and forgot about it!

When I was in the B&M yesterday I asked about these. She told me that they blind tested them last month, while I was out of town :( , and sold out the same night. Now I'm even more determined to get my hands on one.
