I can understand that my friend, Port Wine got me started and I have since graduated to single malt scotch.

Hello Brothers (and sisters?) of the Leaf. My name is Burton, I'm a 22 year old Pharmacy Technician from Richmond, Va, USA. I have been smoking for a little over a month now with some great enthusiasm. Prior to that I had only ever smoked horrible drugstore-blunt tip-sugary pieces of crap. I have completely fallen in love with this hobby though. I "inherited" a 50 or 75 count (can't tell yet) humidor from my father, and just finished seasoning it a few days ago. Right now it's loaded with around 35 sticks, and I am having a hard time not smoking ten a day, just to experience them all. I am really excited to try pretty much everything out there.

I got into cigars basically through my love of Scotch. I have been an avid drinker of Scotch whisky for around 3 years, and have grown to love its complexity. When I became aware that cigars offer similarly complex profiles of flavor, I was immediately interested. After doing a ton of reading, I decided to pick up a few sticks, and see what happened.
The rest (including most of a paycheck) is history.

I'm really excited to see that the online cigar community is so open, and willing to educate new guys and gals in the hobby. There is something to be said for a community, or culture that is referred to as a brotherhood!
That's right. Sister.
