I agree with NJStone on this one. Not everyone can afford to smoke premium smokes everyday. And on top of that, I think that both brands get demonized because of a few bad blends. But much like many other manufacturers, you have to weed out the bad and find the sticks you like.
I like a few of the RP lines, but not too many. Of the two Gurkha lines Ive had, I really enjoyed them both (Legend, Nepalese warrior). Keep in mind also that I dont necessarily always like full bodied, spicy, burn my nose hairs cigars. Most of the time
I like a medium bodied, well balanced, not over powering, flavorful stick and quite honestly, both Gurkhas Ive had fall in to that category, In my opinion.
I think too many people get caught up in to name brands and whats popular. Smoke what you like.
