It like your car tires. It will keep your palate from getting unusual wear and tear. Rotation does keep things fresh. The palate doesn't grow tired of the same smoke day in and out.
Excellent point and very true. I have over the years compiled a pretty good list of rotational cigars...about 26 to date now and I average about 2 cigars a day which means I go thru my entire rotation twice in a month. All 26 cigars are my favorites and it's enjoyable to smoke something different that I like every day.

I mounted a lazy suzan under my Club Chairside, once a week I give it a twirl, that's my rotation...

Seriously, I can't get behind a set order/rotation of cigars anymore than I can get behind a 7 day menu plan that never changes and repeats every week. Oh, it's Tuesday, must be meatloaf night...

Rotations work best when you can plan ahead and set time aside to smoke on a regular basis. As someone who has to 'seize the moment' in an erratic schedule, I'll grab what fits the available time window. With so many new releases and the ability to source fivers here and at wade's, it's going to be something different more often than not. The old reliables are reserved for lazy weekends that have been very fleeting at the moment.
