I've said this before - but this is just a reminder. I'll be breaking BOTL over time in order to get it into a far better place. Just be patient if you can't reach us! We'll be back
Interesting topic. I've always preferred round cigars. I don't know why. Not that it turns me off if they are box-pressed, but there's just something about a round cigar.
In truth... I've never found it to actually matter at all. I buy more cabs than dress boxes just because I like to leave them in the cabs for aging and it's easier to get air flow and the cedar seems to do them well over the years........ but I've never found a box-pressed CC to smoke any differently than one from a cab. We're not talking Padron-style pressing with the vast majority of CCs... the box-press is extremely slight.
Right, Padron is more of a Factory Press. A true Box Pressed cigar was round when it went into a box that was too small , and the get squished, like a RASS.
When you look at some of the NC box press sticks, they have 90* right angle corners on them.
I enjoy 'box pressed' cigars more; because they offer me more comfort while taking a draw from the cigar I choose for the day. People have asked me why and it's easy; my mouth isn't shaped round but rather more like an oval. .02

Lol. I'm not keen on the right angles some have. But like mentioned before cigars like the O.R. LFD Factory Press, at least for me, are RIDICULOUS good and worth the risk, lol. But even so, after just a little smoke time the edges usually round out. My edges on the other hand still need more time.
