I don't think the reality of the situation has completely hit home, aside from her commenting to me, last night, that it would have been nice.

My wife and I recently went through something similar, and it's a surreal experience, and quite sadly, far too common. Not ectopic so much as lost pregnancies...

Still coping with it myself, but it gets a little easier each day.

I'm a firm believer in fate though, and I'm glad your wife is on the mend. That's the most important thing, as you can try again should you so choose.
