What is everyone's take on these? I know they were disco'd in 2010, but I can pick some up and would like to know how theycompare to what's left of the SLR line. Thanks fellas.

I didn't like it to be honest. We had these on the first BVH herf as a blind tasting cigar and almost 70 people smoked from 2006 cabs but I can't remember anyone that loved them. Not even the SLR fans.

some from 2000 and 01 can be had. Think age would help them?
Be careful with CC's from that time period, there are a lot of problems with them. You may get lucky and find yourself a box with little to no problems, but anybody that does should count themselves lucky.

Too mild for me. Look for some 09 DCs. Also 00 & 01 SLR Churchills are notorious for being plugged. (Especially the 00- I've seen entire boxes that were unsmokeable)

I have never had one that was not plugged. Have tried several times but every time they plugged. Sucker for good deal and always get burned....just my .02

I agree with Ben and Bass man above. SLR Churchills can be good, but the DCs are much better. On the other hand, if it's SLR flavor you want, the past several recent production Serie A's I've had have been great.

IMHO an aged SLR DC is one of the very bext Havanas...Period.

The Churchies are slightly bland in comparison to the Regios and the A's and pale in comparison to the DC. They aren't bad, but just not quite as sophisticated.

Serie A. Ages amazingly. Smoked one from '70s last night and highly recommend it for aging.

I really appreciate everyone's input. I think I will just go with a box of Serie A's. The SLR DC are not really an option for me given that they only come in the 50 count cab. The Churchills caught my eye because I k.ew they would have a bit of age on them. Since I am a bit new to the world of CC's I have yet to line up a vendor that I can get aged stuff from. Cheers guys and thanks for the help.

Very gentle, but rich and robust flavors. Drew like a Padron, just an absolute smoke machine. Citrusy without the bite, I think the best way to describe it would be those orange creamsicles. No coffee/pronounced nut/cocoa of late A's. Maybe a hint of vanilla more than a "nuttiness"...it had a nice finish, just can't recall...it was good, that's all ya need to know. haha

If I had handed it to you, you would not have thought it was old. It holds flavors longer than the Regios, I think.

Wow, impressive. I read that with eyes wide like a little kid hearing a story, lol. Makes me wonder how the recent ones would hold up to 40 years of age.
