Has anyone here ever sent bombs or trades with postage due by recipient?
I have heard of this happening to a couple guys, and I wonder if I'm missing something. I, for one, can't believe the post office allows this. What, if any, would be the reason that someone would send a trade or bomb without paying the postage? Just curious, thanks.

It happens when you mistakenly use the "non flat rate" box. There is one of the boxes that is the culprit. I get them once and a while.

Thanks Scott. I didn't know that there was such a box. Maybe I have pre-judged this person. Time will tell.

Wow I guess since I take mine to the PO and send them there I have not this issue. Have you talked to the sender about it? Maybe they don't realize they are doing it.

The offending party was notified, had an attitude about being told and, believe it or not, just did it again!! Thoughts?

Well if they have a stand off attitude then no more trades. Come on if you send something you know what it is going to cost. happens once or twice then fix it keeps happening then they have a issue. Not a good thing.

I agree. That is why they are called flat rate boxes.

Has never happened to me. Surprised the post office allows the package to ship without proper postage. Sounds to me like the post office messed up sending it in the first place :dunno:

Since it happened more than once and based on their attitutde. I would refuse delivery or return to sender.

I have had an issue with the online store "timing" out before credit was charged. But they have notified me of the issue and I resolved the postage due issue. I have never sent something as postage due by recipient.

I guess it would come down to whether I thought they were doing it to be cheap, by accident (which it most lkely isn't since it happened twice), or if they are that hard up for cash. No matter what the reason they should have told you about it before hand. I would stop dealing with them until you have an answer on why it is happening.

the only way that can happen is if you don't use flat rate boxes or you don't accurately weigh what you're sending and you're printing postage at home. both are easily rectified if you so choose. the one time i messed up i had not used a flat rate box and guesstimated the weight. i was embarrassed and sent extra sticks to more than make up the difference. if this guy has done it more than once and knows he's doing it, he's a peckerhead.
