When you get the hang of using the phone you can start finding some pretty cool apps. Sibleys has there bird book but it is a little spendy as most of the birding apps can be. I also have iBird Pro. They are both great because now you have the sounds the birds make to help you ID them. Some good weather apps are My-Cast and Radarscope. I subscribe to My-Cast and get alerts when lighting is getting close. Helps when I am out in the boat fishing to keep me aware that stuff is getting close. Another good one is Relax Melodies. Use it when I am on the road staying in a motel to block out noise. Nothing like the pitter patter of rain to help you sleep.
Welcome to the digital age! Check out the Harmon Kardon Onyx Studio. The best sounding bluetooth speaker I have ever heard, and even though it isn't real big it can get REAL loud. It ain't cheap, but it's worth it.
i have the logitech Ultimate Ears MINI boom... roughly 65$. amazing sound quality for the size and price. the next size up is the regular boom (200$), then the ultimate boom (300$)
whats cool about the mini boom - there is a free app available for your phone where you can get two mini booms (if needed) and connect to them at the same time. you would have surround sound out of the 2 speakers. i dont have the regular or ultimate booms, so i cannot say if this option is available on those models.

Wait, there's a BoTL group on groupme? How did I not know this...so the first thing you do is download the groupme app.. then wait for about 20 minutes.. and then your phone will explode with all of the updates, chatter, and botl traffic... .

try to head down to a best buy to test them out. if you like the UE better, and are comfy spending the cash...then enjoy it! Bose makes solid audio gear.
