I'm around hippies all day every day (coffee shops attract them) so the whole sharing thing has kinda rubbed off on me. I'll share a cigar with a friend, especially if it gives me the chance to tell them about BOTL and maybe get them hooked on cigars too.

Back in the weed days like 20 years ago, sharing seems best way to go. Take a hit and pass it along etc with that group of people seemed perfectly fine. But with a cigar, that's a whole nother ball game. Not to mention STD issues in this day and age, don't let me go there. I would almost think a cigar is close to sharing a condom, so unless already sharing that with the person, definatly a :nono: :nono: . Hope I do not offend or gross out here, I would rather give them there own and enjoy with mem just not together.

I was reading in CM that the Democratic party smokes better cigars than Republican party in the white house. I'll look through the mags and get details.

Better cigars according to who? That seems strange to me. Sounds like just another political debate, which I don't get into.

I'd be surprised if anyone actually admits that. I know Dubya hides his cigar smoking and I'm sure a lot of other politicians do too so they can be politically correct. Unless you get invited to the smoking tent by Arnold, then all bets are off then :guitar:

I wish i could get invited to the smoking tent. I hear he may have to shut his down according to some bill that's in the passing stages that you can't smoke outside if 3 of 4 sides are public walls or something like that.

CM p. 88 Spring 2005

FROM THE DEMOCRATS, perceived as the party of the underprivileged, we managed to corral a fantastic leather-bound box of specially made H. Upmanns, embossed with the presidential seal inside and out. Although Bill Clinton (this part is for you Jason) claims that he never really smokes cigars (and this part is for you cliff), he can sure pick them. The box in our possession contains all twenty-five original cigars and is still bound with a ribbon...we assume the cigar he is most famous for is another brand -- perhaps something on the order of a Churchill size.

FROM THE REPUBLICANS, perceived as the party of the wealthy, we were able to obtain the nifty white cylinder of cigars that was given to passengers aboard Air Force One under the George W. Bush administration. This elegant cyllinder contains four of the most humble excuses for a handmade cigar we have ever seen. There is no question that the value of the white cylinder far exceeds the value of the four crude Philippine cigars contained within!

-----Pictures soon to come of both parties cigars and box/tubes.

I've allowed a few select friends to puff on my cigar (granted, mostly female) and see nothing wrong with it, especially if there's a chance it will open them up to the possibility of smoking their own later.

Hmm that's cool. I've never had the DR version of H. Uppman so I can't say how good it is. I suppose anything would be better than Philippine cigars lol.

I treat it like a bottle of beer. Who would you feel comfortable sharing a bottle of beer (from the bottle, not in a glass) with?
My girlfriend always asks for a taste and I of course allow her.
If anyone else asks, I just grin and roll the cigar from one side of my mouth to the other. Most people get the hint.

Didn't Kinky Friedman try to offer Dubya a Monte#2 and was turned down?

I wouldn't share a cigar with anybody. I remember passing joints, pipes, girls, etc. but that was different. I know better now.

Besides...back then wasn't it always someone else's stash being passed around?
