So here I sit in the emergency room with my lovely bride.

Our nieces had their birthday party tonight at the local roller rink. Of course Nancy and I could not act our ages and had to skate.

Well, after I had a few nasty falls and bouncedy head off the floor a couple of times I decided to quit while I could. Nancy on the other hand did not. With 5 minutes left before we were to leave she decides to try backwards. Not good. She got a little cocky and started some stupid lift her foot while waiving. As I told her father she was going down, she did and hard.

Nancy has broken her wrist. Multiple impact fractures. We are waiting for the surgeon to arrive to set and cast her. After a week or so to lower the swelling she will need surgery to add some pins to make it right. Mutiple pieces of broken bone.

Man what a night. Lots of drama and I sure hope that this is the last trip I have to a hospital.

She's just happy it's the left hand so she can wipe. She is having a hard time with it. My jokes are not as funny as normal.

My mother had a terrible roller skating accident as a child. She broke both of her wrists and the surgeons actually ended up removing more than an inch of her forearm. She now has arthritis in both hands because of the missing cartilage.

Sorry to hear about your wife. Hopefully you'll all be able to laugh about it later. I wish her a speedy recovery!

Sorry to hear that Scott, hope she has a fast recovery . I remember last time I was in an emergency room with a family member...you'll both look back and laugh one day.

Scott, I am so sorry to hear of your wife's injury. I too hope that she gets well soon for your sake; otherwise you will have to do the house chores.
