Shorts in the winter?

I wear shorts pretty much year 'round, except for when I have to put on the suite/tie for business. There are a few days that I'll wear jeans/pants, but for the most part it's shorts and a hawaiian-style shirt (or a t-shirt). I'm typically in a "tropical mood."

I wear shorts if I am just walking around at the house or some place indoors but not outside in the snow unless its just across the street. The frattiest frats on campus you can spot out the members if just look for jordan shorts and backwards hats all year round even in the snow. As stated above they try to portray themselves as manly as possible, and taking the cold apparently makes you more manly.

Pants are heavier than shorts, plus not as comfortable.

I wear shorts as often as I can. I spend very little time outside in the course of my normal work day. The restaurant kitchen gets hot. Shorts are more comfortable. When I run errands, I go from car to whatever business and back to the car. Less than a minute.
If I work around the home estate outside, yeah long pants when it's below 45.
