I think the answer is "it depends." www.cubancigarwebsite.com says the gold accent started in 2013, but I have a box of Edmundo's from Dec 14 that was old style.

Correct. Change was made official, but they seem to be going through band stock so the old bands have been sprinkled in throughout running change period
Finally through a little rough patch with the LAX mail monitors plus a friend just muled back so got a few things in:
