From my last trip overseas, I brought back a 3ct petaca of Cohiba Robustos and 5ct petaca of Cohiba Siglo I. This morning I picked up the present I gave myself for my birthday. A 10ct box of Cohiba 1966 2011 Edicion Limitada. I took them out of their box to inspect them and put them to "sleep". I am happy to report that they are beautifully perfect and smell wonderful. I really need patience.

The forums here have had a bit of love the Monte 2010's, let me know how these are as I am thinking of pulling the trigger on a box of these.
Digging them. Wrapping one up right now. To use very loose and borderline non-helpful terminology, they are almost smooth enough to smoke now. Additional age, just from a regular smoking standpoint, is going to help quite a bit... maybe another year or so, depending upon how you store them.

That said, these seem to have a fair amount of aging potential.

Quick notes: excellent construction and burn, tons of smoke output, good draw (not quite the tighter draw some want with a CC, but not loose in any way), becoming smooth and creamy. Monte flavors? Yeah, and not a weak profile - even dare I say it... just a TINY bit of the Cohiba profile from time to time. Not a nic-kick strong smoke, strong in flavor. Very aromatic... and not in the floral sense or from a chimney standpoint... just in prelight and the smoke output smells very nice.

From what I can tell, these are still around in fair quantities, but no doubt they will go the way of Sublimes in due time, especially compared to current pricing.

If you can, I'd try to put a box away... or smoke from it over 10 years or so. Should be nicely rewarded. Just my $0.02.

Open junior 10 pack.

I know these didn't not get the best reviews and are marketed towards new smokers. Regardless, I've always wanted to try these and the small vitola is great for a quickie. Might smoke one today and see what they are about
Hope your experience is better than mine. Had half a dozen of these and wasn't impressed. I actually MU'd most of them.

If you like the vitola, go for the Montecristo 5, Partagas Shorts or Bolivar Coronas Jr. All great smokes.

No box pics... Had a few moldy sticks so I pulled them from the box and put on the cigars into bags to quarantine them. I am excited about finally having some RASS with good bands though.

Best birthday gift I think I've ever heard of. I've been dying to get my hands on these. Happy birthday!

I wish......mmmmmm.
I have a full box left minus 1 that I recently sampled from '08 that I am having a really hard time keeping away from lately. The more sticks I smoke of everything else, the more I am reminded how much I love these cigars.

My Xmas bonus cigars arrived yesterday, opened the package when we got back from NYE. Here they are in all their glory!

The Diplo No 2s are very fresh, SAR AGO 11. They smell really, really good, can't wait to fire one up in a month or so:

The Quai d'Orsay Coronas are the first goofy box of Habanos I've ever gotten (observe double tax seals and wrongly placed Habanos chevron in the first pic). As the source is reliable and there is absolutely no point in counterfeiting these cigars instead of something more popular, I'm sure they're genuine. Just odd.

Box code is TEB ABR 08. I think TEB was the code for the Partagas factory in 2008, so I'm hoping these are pretty good, especially now that they have almost four years' age on them! If vendors are still shipping out 2008 stock of these, I wonder if we'll see them on the deletion list soon. They smell incredibly floral/soapy.

Finally, I got a 5x3 box of HdM petit robustos. These cigars are hilariously tiny. I know the Epicure No. 2s are only a little more expensive for an inch more cigar, but I'm actually looking forward to giving these a try. Could make a nice lunchtime smoke.
