Añejo No. 46. I’m curious if anyone knows about the codes on bottom of Fuente boxes. I know Fuente has said before that they’re just quality control numbers, but there has been speculation that the last three digits are the amount of years after opening their DR factory. If that’s the case, these cigars would’ve been made 35 years after 1980... 2015. No idea if that speculation is true or not, but a lot of people seem to think so.654DF9E1-4855-42D9-9314-BDCED3FFC843.jpegC1C180E3-EADB-46C1-91B5-52EB7D0091DA.jpeg65FA16C1-811A-4CBE-88A6-40CF822D8FBD.jpeg

I don’t think the thing about the numbers is true, so they’re likely from 2021. Still, a box of Añejos is always reason to drink!
No doubt about that. I have one left from this Holts sampler my wife got me last year. Saving that puppy for a special occasion because they are hard as hell to get ahold of.

I have been tracking those 3 digit numbers for 10 years or so. And my findings are it's pretty accurate. When asked, Fuente has said it is not a date code. Personally I think it is pretty accurate., enough so to be beneficial in dating Fuente cigars. I have a box of Anejos with 031 that I bought in late 2011 which is when I began tracking it and the code seems to advance 1 digit each year after. I haven't tracked it the last 2-3 years, but I did it long enough to be convinced.

Wow, if that’s true these would be around 7 years old. I’ll try a couple here soon and see how they go.
