Long time lurker, first time poster, How's everyone doing.. I'll do an intro post after I get this one out. I'm pretty stoked on this score..

Went into this old decrepit tobacco shop I pass on the way to work and decided to stop in and give it a shot. The guy had two small cabinets left and everything was old, dried out, etc.. I look in the lighter case and see some Prometheus, my next question of course, do you have any Opus lying around. Now I'm not really huge on Opus, I buy them every once in a while..

Shopkeep digs around in his cluttered and rotting cabinets and pulls out 2 boxes of 10th Anniversary Special Edition, the very first Forbidden X!
Each box has 2 Fuente Fuente Forbidden X cigars (6 1/4 x 48) in crystal tubes and a 2 DVD set. No markup, same price from 2001 or whenever these originally came out.

Sold! :stretchgr

This is by far one of my favorite aspects of being a cigar smoker, to dig around dirty shops, in weird towns (my own often), sometimes you score, sometimes you don't, its the thrill of the hunt.

Thanks for reading..

Nice find for sure! Good cigar but not my favorite really aged opus. I like more of the filler and binder for long term aging i.e. robos, dc's and #2's are all great agers imho.

Thanks everyone, I'm super excited.. The boxes were only *cough $59 each! I saw some retailer online selling them by the stick for $135, which is a little bit crazy i think. I did a little poking around, looks like the box came out in 2001-2002, not exactly sure.

This is from Prometheus Site (DVD contents):

"The first DVD contains the main movies directed by James Orr .

The Fuente Family: An American Dream (50 minutes)

Fuente Fuente: The Making of a Legend (30 minutes)

The second DVD contains the unreleased footage:

A Day at Chateau de la Fuente
The Inner World of the Fuente Factory
Making of the Movie
Original Soundtrack by Arturo Sandoval
Narration by Joe Mantegna and Andy Garcia
Cigar Family Charitable Foundation

The Fuente Family: An American Dream in the Platinum Edition is produced in Spanish and English Version. Andy Garcia narrated the Spanish version and Joe Mantegna, the English version. In the Spanish version, the interview with the Fuente family members is subtitled.

Fuente Fuente OpusX: Making of a Legend is also produced in both English and Spanish versions. The Spanish version is subtitled."
