I figured you'd chime in  That was actually out the door price, tax & all. I'd love to get ahold of the whole collection. So far it's just George T. Stagg & Thomas H. Handy.

Just grabbed a couple 6 packs of Firestone Walker Union Jack IPA...which is quickly becoming my go-to IPA, and easily my new fave.

And to my trying but never-had category, picked up a 6'er of Southern Tier 2XIPA to sample over the weekend.

Mrs got me a bottle of JWB for the birthday!

Got a new camera this weekend.

Me and the mrs. had a couple drams tonight after some steaks.
One of the most complex scotches I have ever tasted.

Tasted neat, it was very good.

Then added a little water and it opened up nicely.

I prefer my scotch w\ 1 cube. So after the water, I added a cube.

This scotch is GREAT anyway!
it is very complex.
There are probably better Scotch's for different aspects, but for complexity this is the tops that I have ever had (after 1 dram).

You're a lucky man to have a wife pickin' you up a nice bottle of booze!!....mine sadly wouldn't even know where to begin...

I can't get past the charcoal element to JWB though, which includes the blue. Been a while since I've had it now though.

For your next b-day ask her to pick you up a fifth of Macallan 18. You might want an ice cube still, but you definitely wouldn't wanna drop any water in it. Simply amazing...

Very nice pickup!

I've had a small bottle of Blue and enjoyed it. Though I actually prefer Green because it's spicier.

We were out of bourbon so I grabbed some BH today. Enjoying a glass on the porch while I watch the pouring rain.
I havent had the green or the gold, but the blue is WAY better than the black or red.
....

Ad for bourbon, I prefer Eagle Rare 10 to BH myself.

I picked up a 12 of Sam Octoberfest.
Octoberfest was at one point my favorite beer of the year.
Typically Sam was my favorite of that lot.

last year I didnt care for their flavor choice at all.
It had flavor, just not to my liking.

This year, I cannot detect any good flavor in the beer at all!

Im not sure if it is just SAM mass producing out a beer that isnt that good, or if I have turned into such a hop head that I dont care for the Octoberfest seasonals as much as I used to.

Im gonna have to seek out some craftier type octobers to see whats going on.
