I am a nicotine lightweight so I can definitely sympathize.

I actually do not recommend Coke or Pepsi to counteract nic-sickness. Beverages with caffeine can actually intensify the sweating and nausea.

Instead, if you get to that point, stop smoking immediately and drink something like Sprite or 7UP - high in sugar, no caffeine. I have actually in the past just put a few teaspoons of white sugar in a juice glass of water and downed it.

In about 15 minutes the nausea goes away.

Everybody experiences the Nicotine High differently and has been said....adding some sugar and some common sense when partaking will minimize the effects of the nicotine. I've always used a couple of libations to counter the effects just in case and it's done me well over the years....seems as though others are finding that having some type of "creamy" libation with a cigar enhances the taste of the finish of the smoke on the palate...to which I wholeheartedly agree. I drink Amarula ( tastes a bit like Baileys only much better...it captures the finish while the smoke is in your mouth and tends to cool the smoke so you really get to enjoy the over all taste. I drink Drambuie...Scotch Whiskey which pairs very well with any cigar.)

Try not to smoke anything on an empty stomach as it not only increases your chances of getting nauseous but adds to getting heartburn and upset stomach as well.

Yup either I like pairing cigars with 7-up or A&W root beer, Everyone has different tolerances to nicotine. As stated before the minute you feel the sickness coming on best to stop and eat/drink something.
