It was amazing aroma! I smoked a couple of my favorites that day, can't remember which one it was while JB was having that corona. But it was hard to concentrate on what I was having with the intoxicating aroma coming off that cc.

JB, is this how the discussion went down, lol?

I mention to Justin "JBill, that cigar smells amazing" and he says "Yeah, I know Weak Sauce. Time to start smoking with the big boys" laughing a little bit. Every so often while puffing on it Justin would blow some of the smoke my way and let out a great laugh :"Bwaaahaaahaaa, cigars like these are only for real men. You might as well put down your dog rocket and just enjoy the aroma while you can."
I wasn't there, but this sounds exactly like Jfire to me! Always 1-upping!! If you're smoking an '06 Party Short, he'll be smoking an '05!! :boxing:

LOL, love the sarcasm!

But, just for a some clarification to those that don't enjoy my version of a sense of humor nor know Justin. What really went down, was a lot of envy on my part and Justin offering multiple times to share that incredible cigar.

I don't know if it is a specific aroma but I am like Pavlov's dogs. If I am in the park, at a party or anywhere else and smell someone else smoking a cigar I start to salivate and jones to have one myself.
Lol,,,this is so true. I can smell cigar smoke like a hunting dog and remember last year when my wife and I were vacationing in Palm Beach ( Jupiter area ) and I was on the beach with a cigar just taking my daily walk. I'm smoking a good cigar and I see this guy coming up to me at a slight trot...( oh boy I thought..here comes Mr. Cigar Beach Patrol going to give me grief for smoking a cigar on the beach ) he comes up to me and with his finger already waving at me..."Buddy, what kind of cigar is that...I could smell that sucker all the way down to where I'm staying?" I've got a surprised look on my face like...wth man...but I tell him it's a Hemingway and he's like all over me to where he can buy those. Long story short this guy and I meet the rest of the week on our morning walks and I bring him some cigars to smoke....great conversationlist and for 2 hours we solved all the worlds problems and have a great cigar.

First, I agree that Cuabas do have a floral, honey aroma in general. I also agree that there is a certain "distracting" (and sometimes floral aroma) element that occurs when I am amongst other smokers...It's a strange phenomenon!

Unfortunately, it's not always a pleasant distraction :(

Great thread :)

Honestly, I always used to love the smell of a lit cigar (like when my dad or Grandfather smoked them) when I was a kid, and have this olfactory memory of what it was like, and now that I smoke cigars all the time, I can't smell that smell anymore, even if I'm in a room with someone smoking and I'm not.
