I too am very sorry for your loss. I know what you are going through as I lost my Dad over 25 years ago to heart disease. Al I can tell you is it gets better with time as all the good memorys stay and the others gradually float away.

I was so very sorry to hear about your loss Scott. Your post sincerely brought tears to my eyes. I lost my father in late December of 2000. I was only 41 and he was only 62. I’ve mourned both his passing and the passing of my chance to get closer to him ever since. You are right when you tell everyone to cut the shit and let our parents know how much we love them.

It will be hard for a while. But you’ll be surprised at the memories that will surface. Kind of like your mind trys to help you cope with your loss by giving you back little things you thought you’d lost….
