We pulled those off 3 years ago when we put new shingles on. Too much of an eye sore. Although, it was always nice telling the pizze guy to look for the house with the 2 ugly ass solar panels on the roof.

They were early models from the 80's so they didn't store any heat. It basically had to be a sunny day for them to kick on. So...if it was sunny during the winter months, they worked.
