Finally emailed me back today. Told me to call Monday and they would set up a replacement box for me. Looks like they are going to do the right thing.

This is indeed a really good thread for those who don't know or have never experienced this issue of beetles...they can appear post shipment and during. A good Vendor will correct this and it appears they are doing this and that's what is important. Another good thing about this is that we can plainly see that beetles can hatch in quick order and eat through cello so education in this type of thing is important to us all. I have had a few issues in the past 40 years and it can scare one to death esp. if they were too quick to put an order into general population which I did 20 years ago and paid dearly for it. I now put all new orders into a humidor set up for new purchases where they never see any other cigars...never hurts to be careful.

The bugs did not get into the cigars. The eggs and larvae are present in the stored leaf and rolled into the finished product. After they have hatched they go on a eating frenzy and on maturity bore right through the hardest of cigar wrappers, foil and wood... all are easily chewed too! As adult bugs they only want to spread the love as they have no appetite for food. In our own freezing of cigars we hope to destroy the eggs with a long sustained freezing below 20 deg. F. for at least 2 days.
I recently lost my entire herbal tea collection with the near cousin "drugstore beattle" that is attracted to Chamomile like a moth to flame. Those bugs easily chewed through foil packets and dense cardboard. We store our cigars below 70 degrees and 70% rh to discourage the lifecycle of this tropical native. I would want a refund or store credit on my purchase instead of another box of the same cigars lol

Ok guys, The retailer has resolved this issue for me. They have paid my return shipping and are shipping me a replacement box. They were very apologetic and gave me no difficulties at all. I am very satisfied with their customer service, and will continue to shop with them as I have for a long time.
