We have some more details guys.

The Chaplin and some other military representatives came by Rachel's Mother's house today and explained what happened...to the best of their knowledge.

Ian and three other soldiers were on patrol, like usual. Ian was in the gunner position in the armored humvee.

As they entered an intersection a car exploded, killing all four of them.

Todd, my heart, thoughts and prayers are definately with both Rachel & you as well as the entire Anderson family. This is very saddening news. It is such a tragedy when someone of that young age is taken from us. The fact that this young man felt a calling to be in the military speaks volumes about what kind of a young man he was.

If there is anything that can be done, don't hesitate to ask! We're all here for ya!!

Our prayers will be with your family - very sorry to hear about your loss. And as others have said - Thanks to Ian for his service to our country.
