The Alec Bradley release is called Mundial (or some spelling thereof...pronounced "moon de al"). I guess Alan's been messing with the blend for quite some time. Last time our local rep was in the shop, he said they still weren't 100% happy with it just yet.
Thats what it was! I couldn't remember for the life of me. Alan mentioned it has been in the works for a while, and the release was a long time coming.

I Also forgot to mention (in the original post) that I had a chance to speak with a few reps from Drew Estate. I asked one gentleman about the "Pig", and the "Rat". He said that, as of now, DE has no intentions of releasing the pig again. He mentioned that it was an extremely difficult cigar to produce on that scale.

He did however mention that DE has every intention on releasing the "Dirty Rat". They are currently in the process of making a "Kick ass" band to replace the plain white "Piece of paper" band that adorns the few pre-releases that are floating around. The expected release date is towards the end of the year.

Hopefully he wasn't B/S'ing me.

Re: pigs and rats... I bought the last box of pigs from my local shop. Fun smoke! I also heard from Fabian, local DE rep, that the pigs are no longer in production and that the dirty rats r coming out this year.

Thanks for the gossip. Looking forward to the CRA sampler.

Damn, sucks about the pig. I grabbed the last two I had tonight, gave one to a friend and lit the other for myself. The smell and smoke that eminated from his was amazing, mine, well it was stuffed up tighter than a 12 year old with a sinus infection. Trust me, if it was possible to suck a golf ball through a hose I would have been a contender. Chucked it and lit up a CC Party shorty. Would have much preferred the pig. Still looking for more.

this was the first time i saw this video.

i was under the impression that Cuban cigars, especially high end and pre-embargo cigars, were not wrapped in cellophane. not only that, but that cellophane was very clear for having a supposed 50+ years of age.

anyone give a bit of clarification?

Most CC's produced during that time frame were machine made. Most machine made CC's are packaged in cello. IMO, When it comes to cello "crystallizing", my personal experiences show that it had more to do with the conditions in which they were stored, not just time alone.
