They’re the candela wrapper, and I usually don’t care for candelas all that much but it IS for St. Patty’s after all so I gotta sport the green cigar. I figure if anyone can make a candela taste good, it’s Dion.

Dion is the man for that... I love me some candela wrapped HL. A while back @Iholmes bought fivers of HL in each of the 3 wrappers and 5 of us tried to smoke the trio at a herf. Fun times.

Ok my curiosity got the best of me and I had to smoke one before next weekend. What a pleasant surprise. There’s a very slight grassiness at the beginning that is completely gone by the end of the cigar.

The first third is dominated by a BIG creamy sweetness and a slight spice tingle. The second and final thirds bring out the signature Illusione tea flavors along with the creamy sweetness. I still prefer the original Illusione wrappers, but for a candela this thing isn’t half bad.

Looks like it might rain here in San Diego on Saint Pat's. Good thing you're planning on posting up at the lounge... I think they even have a covered patio.
