I feel like the price of a cigar is such a subjective thing, when it comes to it's perceived value or cost. Personally, I don't consider the cost of a cigar as a "unit," rather I look at the value of the cigar compared to the amount of time I will be smoking that cigar. For example, if I can get 1.5 hrs out of a "Tattoo Lancero," I personally consider approx. $7 per hour of entertainment, a pretty good deal! Likewise, if I pay $20 for a "My Father Limited Edition" that I can enjoy for upwards of 2 hrs, then I feel like it's worth $10 an hr to enjoy. It's MUCH cheaper than a similar amount of time spent on a bar tab, bowling bill or movie ticket with a beverage & snack.I would say I have cigars in every price bracket. $3-4 for Series P, $4-6 for Ambos Mundos, $6-8 for La Casita, Havana VI and Triunfador.
Just my 2-cents......
Keep'em coming, Pete!! I feel like this hobby, passion, cigar obsession is just as much as about the "hunt" for the LE's and HTF's, as it is about enjoying your regular rotation and occasional special occasion stick. Not every kid on the block was able to get a "Batman #1 Comic Book" or a "Mark McGuire Rookie Card"- same thing to me..... Personally, I feel that if people don't like LE's, higher cost cigars, or anything else for that matter, then simply don't participate or pay attention. You're free to do so.
