Hey guys,

Does anyone know if the Regios Maddies last year were a one time run only? I purchased about 5 last year and smoked one recently and it was unbelievable; I hope these are produced again...

Makes me wonder why these maddie releases aren't released more often. Although I enjoy the regular line very much the maddies just add a little more. The smoke just smells so good from these as well. Pete! more maddies brother!

Ok,the story of the regios and noella reserva, as I was told by the area tat rep, is that they were cutting wrappers for the cojonu and wound up cutting a bunch too small. So rather than scrap them, they decided to wrap up a very small number of noellas and regios with the too-small wrappers. They were a one time deal, with the noella being the absolute best of the two. If you happen to come across any, pick them up, as they arent being produced currently, and tat seems to have no plans to make them a regular line. My hometown shop has a box of the regios left, and I may not be remembering the numbers correctly, but i think they only made about 500 boxes of each, total. Great, rare cigars, and no, i'm pretty sure that right now there are no plans to remake them, although i would only LOVE to be wrong. Would kill for just one more box of the noella reservas. They smelled horrible, but MY GOD did they taste great. Now i can't smoke any of the ones i kept, cuz i cant find em anymore. Lemme know if you see em somewhere.

That doesn't make sense to me. My understanding is the Noella and Regios reservas are both wrapped with connecticut broadleaf, while the cojonus are wrapped with Corojo 99 (ligero).

edit: I just read the original Noella reserva from '06 used the same wrapper as the Cojonu, but graded for being darker and aged longer. So perhaps this story is in regards to the '06 Noella reserva (but that doesn't explain why they mention the Regios reserva unless they are just confused).

now, i had heard this from a rep out here in new england, so i can't say much as to the validity of the story, suffice to say thats what i was told when i asked what was different about them at the time of release. the wrappers could have come from the reserva line themselves, which does sound truer to me, but the bottom line is they were a one time release, sort of a 'happy accident' type of cigar. if i'm wrong, and theres a different reason out there, i'm all ears. in all honesty, I LOVE LOVE the noellas, and just seeing this thread makes me hope someone out there msgs me and says, 'hey, i got some of those noellas left...'

I love these, awesome sticks for sure. Sadly, I only have one left :-(

I hope more are to be produced in the near future.

The noella and regios reserva are wrapped with the same leaf as the Frank.....hence the reference to the mini Frank. From what I understand they were a one time deal.

So... what are the prices like on the RR's in CT???

There may be no plans now, but I'm sure that great connecticut broad-leaf maduro wrapper will end up on more stuff. It is just too good.

I haven't made it to the shop yet to see if he's got more, but they were goin for 11.90 out here. And you are right, having done more research, it is a broadleaf maduro, i think from the j21's or something. My friend swears he heard they may be re-released at some point, tho at best i think that is only a rumor. Pray that its not, I know I am.

I haven't purchased a Tatuaje in some time. They haven't been doing it for me lately. Though, if any smaller sizes of these were reintroduced.....I would have to drop some coin.

As Srduggins referred to earlier....the Reserva Regios is Connecticut Broadleaf. The J21 you're referring to is also Corojo (aged Ligero). This might be my first post on this forum, but I'd venture a guess that the rep you're speaking of was fillin' you full of bull (although perhaps he thought it to be true).

Recently seeking out the Regios Reservas I discovered that only approx 100 boxes were made. However, that has neither been confirmed nor denied anywhere i've seen...so I could've been fed the same bull, yet the shop owner received the email directly from Pete himself.

Nice to meet all you fella's over here at BOTL btw. Long time Cbidder that lurks here from time to time.

(my apologies if I didn't follow typical protocol for a 1st post, but just was reading up on the RR and happened across this thread and thought it worth chiming in).

What can I say Tj?!?!

I don't see that Haaaaa! fella over here at BOTL....and that speaks VOLUMES of my interest in just readin' about cigars versus all the other BS.

Anyone whose spent anytime at Cbid knows what I'm talking about.

I'm just a cynical, sarcastic, cigar-lovin' mo-fo.....what can I say?
