Illusione mj12 is in foil too. I had one last week that was so soft and spongy that I had to relight it about a dozen times before I pitched it. Was it the foil that caused it? Got me.

The black corona gordas in the original 25 wheel were wet packed, I recall the maravillas also were and the jar corona gordas as well. There was a post somewhere about whether you should keep them in the foil or not and consensus was to definately let them age in the foil. Basically, I think like people have mentioned above, they're packed in the foil right after rolling as opposed to letting them age before packing which allows them to age in the foil. They aren't vacuum packed though, just wrapped in foil with tape. Hmm which reminds me, maybe I should check on those older smoked ;) G1

I have a box of Tatuaje Cazadores that are 2 years old still in the foil. I will have to open them up this spring and try one.

Great info...

I'm going to take all my cigars, soak them in water for a few days (distilled water, of course!), and them wrap them all in foil!

Waddya think?

The first time I heard about this process, I immediately thought of the movie slapshot.

"what the hell are you guys doin'?

"We're puttin' on the foil coach!":stickbeat
