Agreed. I know my parents raised me the right way and most of my friends were raised similarly. Even with friends who have kids, I don't see a lot of what the article is talking about, though, you don't hear about the good ones.I'd like to think that those results are not typical. I know its not for me. Makes me wonder though. Good convo topic.
CAn you imagine when they hit 35+ and are running for presidency? My guess is in a few more years kids won't even be able to speak. Complete sentences are a thing of the past. I just hear bursts of words like packets of data over the internet. I'm not sure if it's a result of non-stop texting or laziness but the end result will be an outbreak of severe audio pixelation.
And we'd all be better off if this is how things stayed .When I was a kid I got home from school went out to play till dinner, ate, did my homework, showered and went to bed. No tv till Sat.cartoons Popeye, Tom n Jerry, mighty mouse etc. Sunday church and chores. No computers cell phones talked face to face. Never worried about being abducted, assaulted etc. When you lost in sports/competitions you learned how to deal with it and moved on. When you did something wrong your parents never sided with you and you took your lumps, learned and bettered yourself. You could really be a kid back then.
Damn Joe you had it good, I couldn't go out to play after school until I did my homework! :grin:When I was a kid I got home from school went out to play till dinner, ate, did my homework, showered and went to bed.
