You add humidification beads/packs/oasis. Temperature control is a huge problem in my house. Super dry and super hot. Needed something to keep my cigars from the ups and downs of my bedroom temp.

General advice: like ascrivner says, if you live somewhere it gets warm in the summer so that your interior temps exceed 70-75 degrees for hours at a time, you'll need a wineador to reduce the temp. The wineador will cool the sticks, and your beads/bovedas/whatever will maintain humidity (I'm using kitty litter and bovedas in a Newair 281).

My advice is, avoid buying wooden desktop humidors. The cheapos are worthless, and the money you'd spend for a good one can just about buy you a 400-ct wineador with drawers and humudity. Also, you'll fill a desktop in NO TIME.
If you do go the wineador route, look for a 28 bottle, not a 12 bottle. Again, once you start aging a couple of boxes, it'll fill up FAST.
If you're lucky enough to live somewhere cooler, cooladors seem to be the IN thing these days

Yepppp....I filled my 100ct desktop in just over 3 months, hence the wineador purchase.
