Not sure if this is everywhere, but today at the B&M they got in boxes of LGC Artesanos that is part of a sweepstakes offer. I got a free cigar for filling out a sweepstakes ticket.

Never had the RP Edge lites, how do they compare to the regular Edge? Obviously milder, but taste/construction wise? Any opinions?

JOe Cigar deal today:

Sol Cubano Maduro by Oliva Churchill 7x50
10 sticks $19.99

Has anyone ever tried these? I like Oliva smokes and I'm thinking of giving them a try but I've read mixed reviews. Any opinions on these guys?

Staple in my 'yard gar' coolidor, but only when I get them for $1.50 per or less on cbid. Not complex and short, dry finish. Nothing objectionable at all about construction or taste, but nothing remarkable either. Good for yard work or fishing, but not one to savor and concentrate on. In related maduro profiles and price ranges, I've been leaning more towards Flor de Oliva and Tierra del Sol lately. Sol Cubano is a bit 'heavier' than either of those, but not any tastier, IMHO.

I needed to stock up on some give aways and some yard gars. I pulled the trigger on these. It is hard to go wrong on a 2 dollar cigar.

What the hell.:glassesgr

Isnt that sort of like saying its hard to go wrong with a $2.00 steak?

I hope it works for you. I quit buying the CI descriptions a long time ago. Their cheaper cigars always disappointed. I threw away a lot of baaaad cigars. I would rather cough up a few more bucks and buy good cigar than a yard cigar. But that is just me.

Thanks for the good luck Chuck. It is hard to expect a lot from a $2.00 cigar and I agree with you in that they are not going to be the highlight of my smoking year, but sometimes you give it a go.

I also like hearing some of the more experienced smokers take on CI. I will let you know how they work out and thanks again.

BTW Trinidad Churchill today.

DOn't get me wrong. I have bought many cigars from CI and love their shop in Bethlehem. They do a lot of close outs and "made for CI" stuff that sounds great but is not. Buy what you know in boxes. Test what you dont know in singles.

Yeah I decided not to go for them. There are so many cigars I want to try but funds are limited so I figured I’d hold off and save for something better. Got enough yard gars.
