Okay, here's the story.

Rewind my life 2 years ago to the biggest mistake in my life: A 1 1/2 year relationship with a bi-polar, un-trustworthy, controlling manipulative devil woman that sucked all the life out of me and broke up with me when...You guessed it...When i started smoking. I wont even begin to attempt to explain what is wrong with her. However, i cared about her...i really did.

Fast Forward to 2 months ago: I began talking again to a girl i dated my Jr year of high school...I know, I know, im young. Anyways, she was my first serious relationship and after a year, her family up and moved to Florida because of her dad's job. We broke up, didn't talk for a long time, ect. We started talking again when she moved back into the area and we've been hanging out alot, talking about our futures. Getting back together during college this year. Her parents love me and mine love her. We get along great. She smoked a cigar with me and loved it! Today, i was all psyched about my future trip to Nic and she got all excited and started talking with me about it. Then, she said this:

"That trip can be our Honeymoon!"

Yes, she was serious...I made sure it wasnt sarcasm several times.

I'm still in awe. The fact that she will smoke with me and has an interest to partake in the journey of a great cigar and sightseeing trip just makes my day.

I know it sounds stupid now, but I had to share it with my BOTL.

That all sounds great and seems like the perfect woman. But I am in no position to give you or anyone else advice, that will come from the both of your hearts and feelings for each other.

To me do not base her smoking a cigar and a trip to be the future Mrs. Don't be to in awe to much, because there is usally shock afterwards.

Sounds like you all have a good foundation right now to build a future and long lasting relationship though.

Grats to you! I was the one who corrupted my other half (TheBeard for folks who know us on CA) into cigars; previously he was mostly a pipe guy. It works for us. I wouldn't object to a Nicaragua trip either, but I'd have to split my time between the cigar and coffee producers, and greedily pursuing the assorted venomous snakes of the region. They have some nifty giant vipers that are really fun to work with in captivity, and I've never gotten to bother those species in the wild.

I knew my BF was a good pick when he not only joined me in the cigar hobby and helped me set up an indoor smoking area we could both enjoy, he didn't mind when I co-opted our second bathroom to house a green mamba. Now that's being tolerant of your mate's quirks and hobbies.

Your gonna have this dude, all Ball and Chained out before he goes to his first party. I'm not saying that a steady date is a bad thing, but being able to take home drunk Co-Ed is something every guy needs to do.

On the other hand. Get her to go to Nic with you. The rest of the guests on your trip will not be nearly as attractive.

When someone who was an early flame comes back around, so eager to embrace your passion and then slips in the word Honeymoon, it is time to take a long step back. It's good that you had something in high school, and its good that, after falling for a train wreck she is back, but do yourself a favor and at least sip at the fountain of youthful treasure that is college life.
