Not the biggest Zombie fan, but this first episode has me hooked - can't wait for the next episode!

Thought it was a little slow to start, but it picked up and was all that I expected. Morgan being unable to shoot his zombie wife was gut-wrenching.
Typical Hollywood gun stuff when the deputy was told to be sure the safety was off on his Glock...but worse that he had to look at it to be certain! However, they did get the "Wow, my ears sure are ringing after blasting off a round from my Python inside a tank!" correct...realistic touch that you usually don't see.
Being filmed in Atlanta, it was fun to try and recognize buildings, scenes, etc. Would have been pretty cool to be a zombie extra when they were filming!
I'll definitely keep watching...

The premiere of The Walking Dead was the most watched show in AMC history so it's looking good for more then the six episodes already in the can.
Just watched this last night. First show in a long time that I'm actually anxious for the next show to come out.
Only had time to watch the first few minutes, but I have the show on my DVR.

opeyes:I just saw a small clip on AMC where the actors are talking about the series. One guy says it's not about the zombies. A girl says the zombies are symbolic for what people would be like with no concept of right or wrong. Come on man! Don't ruin this for us. It's about zombies. The zombies aren't symbolic. They are the Walking Dead. Seinfeld is the last show I would make plans to watch. It was literally about nothing. Don't ruin this one. I don't want to have to think about it. I want to watch it as if I were a ...well... zombie.
I might have missed something at the beginning and maybe someone can help me out because its really starting to bother me. What I'm not getting is the time frame from when he went in the hospital to the time he left. I can't imagine he could have survived for more then a few weeks max right? So after just this short time his wife is already screwing around with his friend? That small detail just bugs me to no end, other then that i'm loving this show.
Agreed. It was probably 2-4 weeks.

She thought he was dead along with everyone else she knew from before shit hit the fan. She was clinging to the one person she knew other then her son.
I'm with ya pietaster, the wife thing bugs the sh!t outa me. They weren't clear though, on the timeline. I'm assuming that is to add to the confusion. I think, though, that it's been a couple months.

lol first scene last week she's clinging her face to the floor of the woods. Sure must miss that husband of hers.
