Welcome! I am just beginining my journey into pipes - picked up my first Savinelli yesterday & absolutely love it - my collection is around 9 pipes - I smoke quite a bit of Latakia - love the english & balkan blends, also seem to fall back on Vapers alot.

My father is a late comer to flying also, started about 15+years ago (I lost track) - he got heavily into competition arobatics (yes, he makes me sick when he takes me up) & now even judges at some and goes to quite a few 'events' such as Oshkosh every year. I've also started him back into piping as well which is great because we can share in this hobbie at least.

Welcome again & enjoy the brotherhood.

:welcome: What do you fly? I got my PPL in 06 and really enjoy it. Nothing like going up for a couple of hours, and coming home to smoke a good cigar.

Hi rduke10

I learned to fly on 172P's and R's. Once I was licensed, I got checked out on the club's 172RG and also the Piper Super Cub PA-18. I really like flying the Super Cub. Low & slow. Not a lot of instrumentation. Takes off and lands super short. Side slips are a hoot. However for the commercial level practice, I have to use the 172R. Lots quieter, lots of instrumentation.
