So, couldn't be a year for me without some involvement in a motor vehicle accident. I have notoriously horrible luck, BTW.
So this happened yesterday in El Paso.
The driver of the other vehicle and their passengers were unaware of two left turning lanes and came out of their vehicle asking me why I'd hit them.
They even told the cops I rear ended them. Until the cops came to ask my side it seemed pretty open and shut, I must have rear ended them. Until I showed the cops this video, that is.
No witnesses stopped. No other testimony besides mine and the 4 occupants of the other car. If it came down to our stories it would have been 4 to 1, and I would have been at fault.
Heck, when I initially filed the claim with my insurance their program defaulted to placing fault on me.
But with this little 18 second video, there is no argument whose at fault.
Get a dash cam folks. I paid under $150 for this one last year, it's now paid for itself in spades!
