So, I don't know about you guys, but for me this summer is really lackluster for me in the cigar department.

Not because of any bad cigars or stuff like that, no no. But because its been SO damn humid and hot. I mean seriously. I cant remember the last summer that's been this wet here in Upstate NY. It hasn't stopped raining for a month!

Don't get me wrong I love/obsess over smoking cigars as much as the next guy but no freakin way am I sitting outside in 90 plus degree weather with 80% humidity to have a smoke. Usually once the weather gets nice I have at least one every night on the deck but this year Its even hot/humid at night! YUCK. Big respect to the bros in Florida and the Southern states that have to deal with these conditions often.

Its been so damn humid even the Vino has been a pain in the butt to keep at 65 RH. Luckily its fine, just annoying the extra work you gotta do lol.

So what about you guys? Anyone else's cigar smoking suffering from the hot weather/super humid climate? Maybe im just not use to it idk but I cant be the only one who cant stand the heat! :argh:

I've slowed a bit this year.. But mostly due to schedule... Not weather...

Mid day smoking has all but ceased unless I can make it to the lounge...

But I still get an early one in with coffee once a week or so before it gets stupid hot out.. And I get 3 or 4 in during the evenings each week after the sun goes down... Usually out back while playing with the dogs...

I'm with you!

The month of June was pretty much demolished here in Minnesota since it rained almost every day. The last couple of weeks have been 90+ with lots of humidity as well (90-95 with humidity in the low 70's). Luckily we had a front move through this morning so tonight is the first night in awhile that I've been able to sit out back on the patio and enjoy a couple of good sticks.

This whole year has been weird for weather here... Cold and snowing well into May, and then it was cold and raining well into June... Now it's finally warmed up, bit has been Mostly warm/muggy... I agree, wtf is that? We have had very few "good" days where it was just been good (80's and dry with a slight breeze and mostly sunny). Makes trying to find time to sit and enjoy a stick very annoying.

Guess I'll just have to send my collection of Tats and Ligas to Sean now so he can hit YOU with them when you get to San Diego.

I'm enjoying a nice cigar at my local lounge in perfect conditions with beer at my beckon call. :)

As for the op - there are no problems smoking our here in California.

Remember- climate change: it messes with the weather and it messes with your smoking habits.

Global warming....

:wtf:

Florida has been damn wet as of late and now we have another tropical storm on its way to our east. I can deal with it sometimes, tonight is nice out 79 feels like 82 and 83% humidity. The thing that has been killer though is the massive amount of mosquitoes! Suckers have been out in full force and will tear you up, they seem to not give a crap about bug spray or our tiki torches.

I just came in from smoking a muwat baitfish and I'm having a hell of a time too. It's 29 out and we are sitting right now at 91% humidity. It was like smoking a sponge.

Up north here we aren't much better we either have rain or humidity through the roof. It has beaten cigar smoking pretty badly. I still try when I get a chance to be out. The humi itself is ok cause I have it in the basement and it is 75 down there and roughly 65-70rh so I'm not to bad for storage. Once I hit outside it is a whole new ball game. It has been decent for swimming cause it is so hot outside. But everything else has been rough.

I only had one day so far this year where I didn't want to roll down the truck window to smoke, and maybe 2 nights I didn't want to open smoke inside because I didn't want the windows open letting the hot air in. Crank the AC and get on it!

You should have been at SPAC last weekend watching Phish smoking the good stuff!!!

Seriously, you get acclimated to the weather. Down here in SC/GA the heat does not bother me too much, at least after I put in a ceiling fan on the screened in rear deck.
