Been over 100 for almost two weeks here and one week above 110. Only time I'm smoking is on the golf course in the morning. We normally don't have much for humidity, but have had a bit more than normal. Sucks!

That heat wave we just had was brutal! Your right it was way more muggy than usual... The rain right before didn't help.

There's been a few hot days here in upstate SC, but it seems like it's rained 5-6 days every week for like 2 months now.

I hate all this rain making my lawn grow too fast, and then I'm at work if it's ever nice out, so I can't cut my yard, and it ends up looking like shit.

You guys are getting that, too? It is muggy here (more than normal) and it heated up quick... still, can't complain because I have yet to see triple digits.

You should have been at SPAC last weekend watching Phish smoking the good stuff!!!

Seriously, you get acclimated to the weather. Down here in SC/GA the heat does not bother me too much, at least after I put in a ceiling fan on the screened in rear deck.
I had tickets to all 3 days but had to give them to a buddy because of work. Super bummed about that :(

. The thing that has been killer though is the massive amount of mosquitoes! Suckers have been out in full force and will tear you up, they seem to not give a crap about bug spray or our tiki torches.
These "new" mosquitoes that are here are huge and relentless! Fogging seems to be the only thing that keeps them away, go to Home Depot and get the black flag fogger, it's about a $80 investment, but it's worth it's weight in gold! I fog every couple days, and it makes a HUGE difference. If I'm havin people over I'll fog bout an hour before anyone gets here. Bout the only thing I've found that actually works IMHO

Think I was looking at that a few weeks ago. Its also been a few weeks since I have seen the fogger truck drive by and I have seen zero fly overs.

Yup we are from the "other side of the River" LOL but yea my GF lives in Loudonville too down near the Jewish cementary, not to far from there. I drive by Sienna and Schuyler Meadows when I get java in morning at starbucks after we have "sleepovers." ;)

luckily no skeeters, and haven't hit the hundo mark yet, but the humidity is always brutal in this area. my vaca to vegas actually showed me the truth to "it's not the heat..."!

as for defense against the cruel ministrations (menstruations?) of the seasons, my house is a teeny ranch on a knoll, so my garage is below ground level. it's shaded and naturally cooler than the surroundings. and has outlets. and, coming from pale blue scottish ancestry, if i don't have a tan, i am partially translucent and will burst into flames in direct sunlight. so my smoke cave works fairly well. o)
