Quitting cigarettes was the HARDEST thing I've ever done in my entire life. It was a real bonafide bitch! I ended up using the nic gum (following their instructions to the "t") and eventually weaned myself off them.

Of course, like comedian Ron White said:

"...with the $80 a month I'm saving not smoking cigarettes, I'm smoking $700 worth of cigars."
I just stopped buying them...cold turkey.

Nice pic Chris!

I started smoking at 9 years old, finally quit forever at mid 2006 (I will be 46 in a couple of weeks), used that wellbutrin (I do believe those things ARE responsible for some murders) and took up cigar smoking... Crazy? I feel that not inhaling is better than inhaling... ask Bill Clinton! Oh that wasn't cigarettes.

I am thankful I have never woken up and had that wet hacking cough to endure just to be able to breathe in the mornings and feel I could get back into running with very little drawbacks... just would have to build my endurance back up again.

Smoked for four years while I worked for Phillip Morris. They gave a us a carton a week free. Free cigs in the cafeteria. Free cigs at all meeting. Quit after I left.
