I have to agree, I came across that Cigar Aficionado article some time ago and it was truly a great read. It left me wondering if it would be possible to grow some tobacco in my back yard if I planted it now.

In this region of southern Ontario we get 80-90 degree temperatures as early as the end of March up to 100+ plus in the height of summer and it stays in the 80s until at least late September and mid way through October, its also very humid with 80-90 RH through the majority of summer months.

What do you guys think?

I have not grown yet myself, but I have ordered some seeds so I will keep everyone updated

Secondary question, Does anyone what what the specific plant is they grow that have the huge leaves in the pepin videos? Conn broadleaf or frog eye orinoco, etc?
Connecticut Broad leaf is grown in Connecticut....

a lot of his stuff get's pretty big. He said Habano will grow better, but not as easily, and Corojo or Criollo (one of those 2) is more resistant... In terms as home growth...
