Still gives me the chills to this day. HBO did an indepth documentary on the whole day with a lot of facts that were not really ever talked about. Usually they show it every year today...but I am not sure if they are this year or not. If you like documentaries...then I promise you will like this one. Just be warned there are some pretty sad moments...
Never forget...

I'll forever remember the sinking feeling in my gut when the news came out that the second plane hit. Nothing good will come of this I told myself. I knew we'd go to war, I knew so many people were loosing their lives at that very moment & my heart went out & it felt like my insides became suddenly heavy & short of breath.

I admit I was surprised at how few people were taken from us that day - I remember initial reports that wouldn't have surprised me if tens of thousands of people had perished.

This event solidified in me - that I believe, in general, people are good: such outpouring of love & sympathy was unprescedented from around the world - everyone was glued to there tv's and the coutless police, fire & rescue workers that rallied to help - in any way they could....

This outpouring of 'good & love' outweighed the evil of an isolated few trying to breed hate.

As I lowered the flag at our main fire staion on my way to work I remembered that bright blue day and the tragic events that happened. It almost seemed fitting that it was raining, tears for the fallen.

I remeber comming home from a long graveyard shift and turning the tv on. was half asleep and when the first plane hit thought to myself what movie is this, then the shocking realization hit me that i was watching CNN. Thanks to the heroic actions of police and fire that day many lives were saved

I was only part time back then with a city close to where I work now. It was a extremely clear Sept. "bluebird day" out. I turned on the T.V. and couldn't stop a tear ot two from coming down knowing that other brothers and sisters families just lost there father, sister, husband forever. I can only hope most people havn't forgotten the efforts of these heroes. However I know many that have. Just read our local paper. May we all never forget what happened today Sept. 11th.

Lost 6 friends that day. No way I'll ever forget.
those of us who lived close by all had friends, or at least knew people who were murdered by the terrorist swine. I will never forget my local town just coming to a complete stop for a firemans funeral procession. It was one of the most amazing things that I had ever seen.
