13 year BiB Dickel.

Not bad for the initial pour, at 100 proof, not the flavor profile I’m used to but overall an ok pour. Needs some air to open up a bit then will probably be a bit better.
I haven't tried this since they went to the 13 year age statement, Brian, do you like it better than the old 11 year?

Headed to a party with my GF. She said they would have IPAs, Hard Ciders and other bullshit to drink, so she bought me a bottle of 9 year KC 100 proof so I didn't have to have Zima or Truly. She may have regretted that decision, but I was coherent and well behaved....amazingly.

And not even hung over. Though I'm not sure I should be proud of that. ;)

Had a sample of Booker's Center Cut 2015-03. It is instantly my favorite Booker's a have tried. I have 3 more samples and 2 unopened bottles, so I am a happy camper.

I followed it up with some Kentucky Chew (2018-03). Still Top 5 for me.

This is...phenomenal. Peanuts, cinnamon, apples?, caramel, butterscotch. The pinnacle of my young bourbon career thus far.

Most of the Booker's batches will have peanut to some degree, Carlos, but in different forms and intensities. Some have notes of peanut brittle, others the taste of salted shells. Just a Beam thing.

I'd put Lumberyard at #2 of the last 3 years of releases, right behind Bardstown (21-03).
